NHS PHARMACY FIRST
details below as you may be able to access advice and treatment without the need for a GP appointment.
The NHS have introduced a new service which will be available in your local pharmacy from 31st January 2024. They will be able to offer advice to patients and supply NHS medicines where clinically appropriate (including some prescription-only medicines), to treat 7 common health conditions

These conditions include:
Sinusitis
Sore throat
Earache
Infected insect bites
Impetigo
Shingles
Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (in women aged between 16 & 64)

If you are suffering with any of the above symptoms you can visit your local pharmacy for an assessment, advice and treatment if it is deemed necessary without the need to wait for a GP appointment.  
You can also still use the pharmacy for self care and advice regarding minor ailments

We are no longer using the prescription request option on the e-consult (Patchs) system. Instead you should use your Systm1 online access online or the NHS App. If you do not yet have an account you can create your account via the following link

MEASLES
Measles cases are rising across England. 
2 doses of the MMR vaccine provide the best protection against Measles, Mumps and Rubella.
