From next month, routine cervical screening in England will change to every 5 years for women aged 25 to 64, provided they have a negative HPV result.
This update is based on the success of the HPV vaccination programme and improvements in testing accuracy, making more frequent screening unnecessary for those at low risk.
Please note:
We can only carry out screening if you have received an official NHS invitation letter — we’re unable to offer tests outside of this.
If you’re experiencing symptoms of cervical cancer, please contact us directly to book an appointment.
Following a recent rise in measles cases, we’re reminding parents to ensure their child’s routine vaccinations are up to date.
Vaccines protect against serious illnesses like measles, rubella, tetanus and meningitis — helping protect both your child and the wider community.
Measles symptoms include:
• High temperature
• Runny nose, cough, and sore eyes
•Rash starting on the face, spreading to the body
White spots in the mouth (in some cases)
The MMR vaccine is offered free of charge. You should be contacted when your child is due, but if you’re unsure, check their Red Book or contact us to confirm.
